Master in Public Policy and Governance (MPPG)

 

Scholarships in MPPG:

  1. An approximate amount of BDT 200,000 as tuition waiver to be provided by NSU;
  2. For Bangladeshi Students: 18 months at NSU, Bangladesh, with BDT 8,000/- scholarship per month;
  3. For International Students: 18 months at NSU, Bangladesh, with BDT 15,000/- scholarship per month;
  4. For International Students: One roundtrip airfare for traveling to and from Bangladesh;
  5. Print, photocopy facilities, and other academic supports. 

 

Discontinuation of Scholarships

Suppose any student drops out of the program, for any reason, after getting admitted. In that case, he/she will have to pay back the scholarships he/she will receive until the discontinuation, and the concerned authority (employer/guardian) will be notified accordingly.  

 

Scholarship Opportunity (Self-Financed International Students)

  • IELTS score >= 6.00 or equivalent
  • The International applicants must have a CGPA of 3.50 and above or equivalent to qualify for a 100% tuition fee waiver.
  • The International applicants must have a CGPA of 3.25 to 3.49 or equivalent to qualify for a 75% tuition fee waiver.
  • The International applicants must have a CGPA of 3.00 to 3.24 or equivalent to qualify for a 50% tuition fee waiver.

 

Executive Masters in Policy and Governance (EMPG)

For All Students

  • Three (3) merit-based scholarships (one 50% and two 25%)- tuition fee waiver will be awarded to successfully enrolled students based on the admission test merit list.

For NSU Graduate Applicants

  • 75% for CGPA ≥ 3.75
  • 50% for CGPA ≥ 3.50

For other University graduate applicants*

Group A University Graduates

  • 50% for CGPA ≥ 3.80
  • 30% for CGPA ≥ 3.50

Group B University Graduates

  • 35% for CGPA ≥ 3.80
  • 20% for CGPA ≥ 3.50

For International Students

Eligibility: IELTS ≥ 6.0 (or equivalent)

  • 100% for CGPA ≥ 3.50
  • 75% for CGPA 3.25 – 3.49
  • 50% for CGPA 3.00 – 3.24

Graduate students must maintain a CGPA >= 3.25 to continue availing the scholarship

Types of Financial aid/ Scholarship available at North South University

Financial aid reflects the University's commitment to a student community that is broadly diverse in terms of race, geography, gender, special skills, and talent. NSU offers Financial aid/Scholarships to students under the provision of the  Private University Act 2010, where students of NSU can apply in the following categories:

  1. Financial Aid for the wards of freedom fighters (WoFF) of the liberation war

(Quota based waiver).

  1. Financial Aid based on previous academic attainment and admission test results (Merit-based tuition waiver/ scholarship).
  2. Financial Aid based on high academic achievement at NSU (Merit-based tuition waiver/ scholarship).
  3. Financial Aid based on a student's financial NEED (based on humanitarian grounds).
  4. Financial Aid based on the Need and Merit of a student (Merit-Need-based waiver/ scholarship).
  5. Financial Aid based on siblings studying together at NSU.
  6. Financial Aid in the form of student employment at NSU (Work-Study based).
