Her current research focuses on understanding major birth defects and identifying key factors that contribute to disease incidence in hospital settings to raise awareness for prevention. She has experience researching the molecular mechanisms of various cancer signalling pathways through protein and RNA analysis. Additionally, Sabrin has a diverse research background includes bioequivalence studies, biological and pharmacological studies, drug design, and qualitative and quantitative analysis. She teaches core theoretical courses, mainly organic pharmacy and physical pharmacy and has extensive experience supervising undergraduate students in their research projects.
